business operations of retail real estate brokerage activities of
ten brokers and twelve staff positions focused on the greater
Houston markets and connected nationally through ChainLinks Retail
Advisors.

implementing operational and financial processes to improve
operations, profitability and reporting through a focus on policies and
procedures, protecting and promoting company culture, and executing
growth strategies.
- Participated in strategic thinking
and planning to develop ideas and analytics to measure the dynamics
of the brokerage operation and to create strategies for improving
profitability and sustainable performance.
- Responsible for all internal
operating systems including communication systems, technology, data
services, accounting, payroll, benefits, budgeting and Board of
Advisors meetings, as well as communication with outside
consultants, CPAs, attorney, insurance agents and public relations,
media and employment firms.
- Managed the office lease expansion
including negotiation with landlord, space planning, build-out and
occupancy.

Vice President - Operations, Houston Region (Texas and Louisiana)
Held full responsibility to lead
property teams to deliver superior customer service, ensure stable
operations, execute long-term strategies, business plans and budgets,
and deliver favorable financial results for the Houston region.
Portfolio included 11.6 million square feet in 34 Class A properties in
Houston, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, and San Antonio, Texas and New
Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana. Managed over 180 employees, including
property management, engineering, customer service and construction
teams providing service to more than 1,200 tenant companies.
- Led the wind-down efforts of the
Houston region during 2004 and 2005, coordinating sale of 8.7million
square feet of office buildings, valued at $1 billion, while
maintaining operating systems and employee morale at remaining
properties.
- Project leader for the recovery
effort after Hurricane Katrina attacked Metairie, Louisiana in 2005.
Over 180 companies were displaced and systematically allowed to
re-occupy after coordinating debris removal, building systems repair
and replacement, mold remediation, tenant space and common area
reconstruction. Within eighteen weeks, 100% of tenants had fully
re-occupied the 1.2 million square foot complex.
- At the region’s peak, developed
and executed a regional budget of over $220 million in revenue, $87
million in operating expenses, $5 million in capital improvements
and $14 million in leasing commissions and tenant improvements.
TRANSWESTERN PROPERTY
COMPANY, Houston, Texas 1990 – 1994
Senior Property Manager
Charged with property management and
financial performance of San Felipe Plaza, a 960,000 square foot Class A
office building in Houston’s Galleria area, this property was the first
major high rise acquisition for Equity Group Investments, and the first
major building management and leasing assignment for Transwestern.
Processes and procedures for property management, leasing, construction,
capital improvements, accounting, receivables collections and tenant
relations were developed and improved at this property.
HOUSTON CENTER CORPORATION,
Houston, Texas 1986 – 1990
Senior Property Manager
Responsible for property management and
financial performance as assistant property manager of 2 Houston Center,
then senior property manager for 4 Houston Center, five parking garages
and undeveloped park land in this downtown office complex. Worked
closely with leasing representatives on tenant expansions and renewals and
tenant construction projects.
OXOCO, INC., Houston, Texas 1984 – 1985
Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Services
Responsible for human resources
management and office services including the design, construction and
relocation of the headquarters offices of this publicly-traded oil and
gas exploration and production company of 200 employees.
TERRA RESOURCES, INC.,
Houston, Texas 1977 – 1984
District Manager – Administration and Finance
Responsible for the Houston District’s oil and gas production
accounting, drilling and lease costs, policies and procedures, internal
communication, office environment and service to field offices in Texas
and Louisiana.
