About Us

M Kidd Properties was launched after we had been working with some of the largest real estate companies in the country. In 2009,  we started our own company to provide the excellent service directly to clients. We're currently focusing on our brokerage and leasing services, and we continue to offer consulting and management. Our vast experience with property management and our experience as brokers combine to make us a valuable asset supporting your team to achieve your business goals.

Mark W. Kidd, Sr., President
M Kidd Properties is led by Mark W. Kidd, Sr., a front-runner in Texas' commercial real estate industry. He has extensive experience in creating value through elevated client service, insightful operations, and organizational effectiveness. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mark W. Kidd, Sr.

Mr. Kidd has been actively involved in the acquisition, disposition, and operations of more than forty Class A office properties. He held numerous leadership roles in a national real estate investment trust, with a privately owned retail real estate brokerage firm, and with a major mixed-use development prior to launching his own company. With strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, he builds positive relationships with clients, customers, service providers, contractors, and colleagues to complete the most complex real estate transactions.  He is actively involved in community organizations.

Whether you require help with leasing, buying, or selling a property, Mr. Kidd is well versed in handling your transaction every step of the way. He is a licensed real estate broker in Texas, and has earned designations as certified property manager, real property administrator, and registered building manager. His commercial real estate highlights include:

  • Leadership roles in the management and operation of various mixed-use and office properties in Texas and Louisiana, including Houston's San Felipe Plaza, 2500 CityWest Blvd and Houston Center.
  • Built an effective management team of over 200 employees at Equity Office Properties that was responsible for a portfolio of 11.6 million square feet in thirty-four Class A commercial properties in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio, Texas, and in New Orleans and Metairie, Louisiana.
  • Served as chief operating officer at Page Partners Realty Advisors, one of the leading retail real estate consulting and brokerage firms in Houston.
  • Served as president and director of Houston Building Owners and Managers Association, and director of the Texas Building Owners and Managers Association.
  • Served as director of the Greater Greenspoint Management District.

Mr. Kidd is an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. In addition, his leadership responsibilities in the community include:

  • Serving as the 2017 Chair of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church's Board of Trustees and President of the St. Luke's Foundation; 2012 Chair of the Board of Stewards and Executive Committee, of a congregation of approximately 8,000 members. He also performs other lay leadership roles, including handling the church's real estate portfolio.
  • Serving as Past Chair of the Board, Personnel, Buildings and Grounds Committees for Serenity Retreat for Healing and Spiritual Growth in Houston and Bellville.
  • Serving since 1995 on the Board of Trustees at Goodwill Industries of Houston, and he has twice co-chaired the annual Goodwill Gala with his wife Becky.
  • Member of 2017 Executive Committee of the Texas Wildlife Association.

Mark W. Kidd, Jr. joined the company in 2012. He represents business owners and entrepreneurs and assists them in establishing solutions to achieve their desired objectives and long-term real estate goals. After gaining a thorough understanding of the specific property requirements of his clients, Mark delivers quality results by determining an efficient cost evaluation of the site selection. This provides his clients with the best solutions that meet their criteria. He prides himself on satisfying clients by working together to accomplish their goals and produce results that exceed expectations.

Prior to joining M Kidd Properties, Mark gained valuable experience working on the industrial brokerage team at Newmark Knight Frank (acquired by BGC Partners, Inc. in 2011 and merged with Grubb & Ellis in 2012). While specializing in industrial properties, Mark focused his attention and gained experience in the Northwest submarket, where he represented building and landowners in the disposition of their assets. He also represented industrial tenants in their lease transactions and negotiations.

Mark began his real estate career in Houston as an office leasing advisor at locally owned Moody Rambin Interests. While there, he represented office tenants in their lease transactions, renewals, office relocations, and expansions to meet their office space requirements.

Mark is a native Houstonian and a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He serves on the Muttin' Bustin' committee and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership. Mark actively participates on the Young Houstonians Leadership Committee of the Heritage Society to increase appreciation of Houston's history and grow the involvement of the younger generation. He is also a member of NAIOP's Developing Leaders.

Mark received his Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University, with a major in communication studies and a sub-major in business administration. He is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission.
